Not very often do we find brides who steer away from the traditional white or ivory wedding dress tones, but this is now my second wedding where I had a bride wear a bold color! I love it--seems so exhilarating and something I would never be brave enough to do! Claire was so unique in her own way and she made her wedding day no different. She was a beauty in pink and the dress fit her spunky personality.

The wedding was held at the very beautiful Hillside Gardens where the eclectic array of art pieces throughout the gardens fit right into the personalities of Claire and Mike. The two love birds were anything but traditional! They wanted to skip as much of the normal traditional events and get right to the dancing and being with their family and friends!

Claire and Mike lived out of State and traveled intensely in the months leading up to their big day. Susan, Claire's mother, contacted me to help assist in the wedding planning process since her daughter was out of State. She was a gem to work with and someone I hope to always keep in contact with. Oddly enough she lives downtown where we went for Halloween in Old North End Colorado Springs, so I plan to see her at least every Halloween. ;)

Susan and I spent several meetings putting together tablescapes and discussing details of her daughters special day. Claire's colors were so bold and beautiful that we wanted to make sure we could capture her vision. Teri from Hillside Gardens Floral put together beautiful arrangements of hot pink and yellow for the guest tables.

Susan made the burlap and lace runners for all the guest tables along with the burlap utensil holders. Underneath the plate was a beautiful corresponding vintage napkin to bring in more detailed flair. Susan loves details as much as I do and the lace was a beautiful and soft touch to include in the decor.
